Just what we need, more political performance artists. What ever happened to the idea of actually getting things done?

journalism at MSU, for this objective account. Adds the fact that Bond wanted Mfume's job, and interfered with Mfume's management of NAACP, universally viewed as rescuing it. Sadly, few will read this and will be left with first impression given by Sun story on the papers.

ICYMI, one of the foremost authorities on the NAACP states that the "Bond papers" should not be taken at face value in the last-minute effort to "smear" Kweise Mfume. And he explains why, in detail. Thanks to DeWayne Wickham, dean and professor of...

A very knowledgeable source and important perspective on the use of the "Bond papers" to discredit Mfume. And shows the perils of such stories coming out so soon before an election.

In other words, it's fair to ask whether her commitment to social justice extends to LGBTQ citizens and victims of child sexual abuse.

Then of course there was the Trumpian quid pro quo stunt she pulled in 2011 with the gay marriage bill that outraged the LGBTQ community and earned her a rebuke by the Sun.

The Sun wants to dig into Mfume's distant past, fair enough. But don't conveniently forget Carter's recent past.

I'm old so most of my friends, incl the black ones, also are old. There is one in particular who bitches about the squeegee kids - very particular about his car. I chuckle to think about his reaction should some young white woman confront him about his attitude.

progressive social justice agenda, was worth a story. It was. Maybe or could ask her a few questions about it now. And ask sponsor C.T. Wilson and advocacy groups like how they felt about her vote to kill the bill.

support on a 136-2 vote. Carter was the ONLY Democrat in the entire GA to cast a vote against the bill. This bill was important, esp to survivors of sexual child abuse. The Sun, for some reason, did not think her pivotal vote, seemingly inconsistent with her ...

Gladden was quoted (in the Sun) as sarcastically observing "Maybe she’ll work harder as a senator." At least the Sun did give a line or two about concerns that Carter's commitment to social justice does not extend to the LGBTQ community, infamously trying to hold the bill...

other member of the city delegation. When her lousy record became an issue in her 2018 campaign for the senate, she dismissed it as "racism" even though retired state senator Lisa Gladden, who is black, was one of her major critics, accusing her of not being a "hard worker."...

Wow. The Sun saw fit to rehash 16 yr old allegations in its coverage of Kweise Mfume's candidacy, but not a mention in this piece about Jill Carter of her dismal attendance record as a delegate to the General Assembly - she missed far more votes than any..
