      TL;DR strongly disagree because of a bazillion reasons. Creating noise & sounding alarms this way isn't helpful to saving lives

          Disagree that there's a risk, or disagree that keeping it private at all is a Good Idea™? Can see the former, but latter seems obvious.

          The risk is really small. It's really hard to mass produce these. The real risk we should be focusing on is drug resistant TB and pandemics

          Agreed! Privacy problems for mundane forms of data MUCH more important at this point, but technology quickly outstrips our thinking often.

          Agreed. That slide is shocking tbh. It's actively hurtful to efforts at treating cancer for no real benefit. Genome privacy important though

          I was at this talk. Very sobering. Crispr isn't the problem, spreading mechanisms (viruses) are and we need better/faster sensors for them.
