Hospice is never mentioned in the article. What a failure. I know from my own father's illness and death that many of the items Zeke wanted for his father, all it would have taken is to say the magic word 'hospice' and the specialists fall away and the at-home assistance arrives.

The article mentioned "palliative care", which in many hospitals is how hospice care is arranged. They weren't able to have those meetings on the weekend.

I will have to end myself when I get old. I cannot be a burden on my child. None of us could afford $40 a day much less hundreds or thousands. I made this decision a long time ago. I have one child. There’s no one else. I’m not the only person who thinks this way. I’ve met MANY.!
