I've been a diehard free & open source software user, contributor, and backer since college in the 90s. But at this point, I would rather run proprietary software that I can NEVER see or change if the alternative is to run software licensed by the FSF.

I've never joined because RMS not only remained at the top but has been supported no matter how destructive his words and actions have been. If he is gone *and* there is housecleaning of that supportive-of-RMS management, I'll reconsider.

What are your thoughts on the way Geoffrey Knauth has responded to this incident? So far he has mocked Sarah and others and tried to bully her into being quiet. Is the removal of RMS really enough?

My resignation/dues cancellation note said that board/governance reform was also necessary for me to rejoin, for what it is worth.
