Instead of celebrating American history the week of our nation’s independence, Nike has apparently decided that Betsy Ross is unworthy, and has bowed to the current onslaught of political correctness and historical revisionism. 5/

It is a shameful retreat for the company. American businesses should be proud of our country’s history, not abandoning it. 6/

Nike has made its decision, and now we’re making ours. I’ve ordered the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw all financial incentive dollars under their discretion that the State was providing for the company to locate here. 7/

And finally, it shouldn’t take a controversy over a shoe for our kids to know who Betsy Ross is. A founding mother. Her story should be taught in all American schools. In the meantime, it’s worth googling her. 9/9

Who the heck is Kappernick to change past history- we can’t give him any glory. Betsy Ross comes first!! Nike you made the wrong move- why change for 1 person ? True Americans like our American History- we need to remember the past to prevent some of the history from repeating.

I know I’m only a tv host, so help me understand how compassion & thoughtfulness by is tantamount to denigrating 🇺🇸 History? When the flag in question flew wasn’t #Slavery the dominant business? Costing AZ the jobs Nike was bringing...that seems more anti-American.

Are you speaking to the five percent of your constituents who are currently unemployed? And if you don’t know that flag also represents the hundreds of thousands of African Americans who were enslaved and not yet liberated, then it’s you, sir, who needs to open a history book.
