Sometimes we take for granted exactly how radical ideas like Social Security, the VA, and public schooling really are: that we will care for our elders, provide healthcare, and educate *all* children in America free of cost at the point of service.

It‘s w/ great anxiety, as an ice-sheet glaciologist, to read pieces like this. It‘s critical work, restoring habitats degraded by technologic follies of our past. Give coastal wildlife a chance. I get it! YES. 🙌 But… the seas. The water will come. 😞😰 I don’t have answers.
