Hey @dosdude1, awesome work !
I just upgraded my MacBookPro5,1 everything work fine except the display brightness control. The brightness control keys would not work so I tried installing the "Backlight Control Patch". Any idea what's going on? I used High Sierra Patcher 2.6.0

Nope, "Force Cache Rebuild" did not change anything.

Note: when MacBookPro5,1 is selected, the "Backlight Control Patch" is not check by default. I first tried without and it did not work. When I added this patch in the pos-install tool, the keys would show the indicator on the screen but the brightness would not change.

The most inconvenient part is when the machine waking up from sleep, there is not backlight to my screen. I need to restart the system to get backlight again (unless there is another way?)
