@dosdude1 I have a late 2008 MBP. Pretty sure high power GPU is dead, and display is blurry with only red, white, and blacks appearing. Any chance you could fix it?

2008 15" is what has the problem. Got the photo from a forum post on a 2011
Ok, yeah LOL the reason I asked is because those pics look exactly like a 2011 with a failing GPU. I'll need to see actual pics of your machine to be able to tell what's wrong. Late-'08s don't usually have defective GPUs, though, so most likely it's just a bad LCD or LVDS cable.

That's what I figured was the problem with the screen since it works fine over a displayport cable. And the only reason I think the second GPU is dead is because it refuses to switch to high power mode
