Tried to use post-install patch from @dosdude1 to fix macOS 10.13.2 update on my 2008 Mac Pro, but got video problems (AMD graphics driver issue probably). Had to downgrade to 10.13.1 for now until I hear a word about it.
You can just use the Patch Updater tool to re-install the AMD video card patch, that would have fixed your issue.

You mean the Patch Updater that’s in the Utilities folder? I tried that and there are no new updates at this time. After I used post-install tool in the USB drive, I got red background on login and white artifacts on some animations. May need new patch.

Just click "View Installed Updates", and from there you can right-click on them and select "re-install".
