@dosdude1 Tried 5 different pendrives. Different brands. Different sizes. Some USB 2.0 some 3.0 - no change. Any other ideas Bud?

Marked as "off topic" - I can't understand why - it was a report of a problem with the patch, marked it as duplicate but the duplicate link goes nowhere, and he basically says "RTFM" - which I did. #RIP I guess.
Sorry about that, I don't actively track the issues section of the GitHub page. That issue may occur with some USB drives. Try using a different USB drive, and that should solve the issue.
Yes a good few. Will try them. There’s another thing I need to fix. I think that the fan is not connected or dead. Noticed yesterday that machine is getting toasty but I cannot hear the fan ramping up. Installed smc fan control and set it to 5500 rpm. I don’t think that worked...
Ok fan is spinning at 1500 rpm and SMC app is not controlling it correctly. Macs Fan Control app made a short work out of it - working fine now and I can now change the RPMs with a slider. Now for external drive. Crucial SSD - brand new + USB to sata cable - good / known to work.
@dosdude1 SSD and Spinning Rust tested. Nothing. There are 2 leds on the controller. Red & blue. Red - power. Blue - hdd activity. At the beginning the blue led is blinking (just like on pendrives) and then led is on - all the time. It stays like this for hours. No installer.
@dosdude1 I forgot to mention - I had a older version of Mojave install app and the patcher that goes with it - created a drive. No installer was reached either. I believe the Mojave installer + patcher were downloaded in first half of 2019. I might have to stick to High Sierra..
