@dosdude1 hello...I have installed the modded version of Mac OS X on my MacBook Pro 17” 2011 . But now for some reason I’m unable to use the boot keys. The option key doesn’t work when I tried to restore the os using a usb. Plz help!!!!

Sorry for threadjacking.. after installing reFIND, is it possible to damage/corrupt the EFI boot partition so that it’s impossible to revert to the native MacOS boot picker? If so is there a fix? A way to restore the EFI files? How to rerun the latest firmware update? Many thanks
No, as I said, the boot picker is part of the system firmware, it is not on the hard disk/in your ESP.

Nothing needs to be fixed. Just hold the Option key when turning the machine on, begin holding before it chimes.
