@dosdude1 Computer reboots but does not find the volume. I tried Post Install patches but it says that no Copy of Catalina is found. MacBook Pro 10,1 which is newer than the listed on your website, so I assumed it would also work. Download the patch this morning. What can I do?
Install High Sierra first, your system firmware is not up to date. MacBookPro10,1 does NOT need any patches, as it supports Catalina natively.

Hi and thanks for the quick reply. Installing Mountain Lion which will hopefully let me install High Sierra, and continue from there. Thanks for all your work and time

You could just install High Sierra directly to an HFS+ formatted volume and then install the firmware update.
