Hi @dosdude1, I got a MacBook Late 2008 and I heard about low performance when is running without a battery, can you confirm that is true ? I am running El Capitan. If yes, what can I do for short term to restore the performance ?
Yep, it's going to run like complete garbage with no battery installed. I would suggest getting a battery installed when you can.

Does it matter if it's an original battery or 3rd party? Original seems hard to find in my country.
