@dosdude1 I have a mid-2011 Mac Mini currently on 10.12.6 and I'm confused about the APFS update - it didn't seem to work on restarting so I'm stuck with an HFS+ disk - any ideas? Is this linked to SIP protection? Thanks!

It just needs a firmware update. Once you install that package and reboot, you should see the Apple logo with thick progress bar. Once rebooted, Catalina Patcher should no longer give you that warning.

Thanks but I don’t get the thick progress bar - it just restarts normally - that’s the issue...

Is there any way to *force* the firmware update?

I think I need to disable SIP to flash the firmware - will try that later

Then you may already have the latest firmware installed. Does Catalina Patcher warn you that the firmware needs to be updated?
