Quick question, I wish to update a 2008 MacPro 3,1 w/NVIDIA card to Catalina PB5, from PB3 installed via Catalina Patcher v1.0b9, to boot from a non-SSD APFS-formatted drive using the custom method. Can this arrangement be updated in place? Many thanks, PB3 is working flawlessly!

On the "Installation Method" screen, should I choose "Install to this Machine" (when the machine has been booted up into PB3) or "Create a Bootable Installer" (onto a USB stick and then use that to install back onto the drive containing PB3)?

Either way should work, though it'd probably be helpful in the future if you used a USB installer.
