Any change Graphic acceleration on late 2011 MBP will work soonish?
Nope, it's most likely that Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx series GPUs will never be compatible with Mojave. Disable the dGPU, though, and it will work fine with only Intel HD Graphics.

What a bummer. No chance to reuse code from High Sierra or so? If you disable dGPU for Mojave, could you still have it working if you set up the MacBook Pro 2011 dual boot with High Sierra and Mojave on separate partitions?

In theory, but you'd have to set that NVRAM variable every time to disable it. The GPUs in those 2011 machines are defective, though, so it's best to just keep them disabled, regardless of what OS you run.
