      Check Disk Utility, and make sure InstallESD is not mounted.

      Then try it again. Also restart your computer, that may help as well. If not, what does it show in the verbose view?

          It looks like your Mojave download got corrupted. Delete your current Mojave installer, and use the tool to re-download a new copy.
