Did you attempt to patch Night Shift yourself previously?

No it came up in the patch updater and I installed it but when I clicked restart now it didn't restart so I manually restarted it
Ok, well go ahead and try doing a clean install. More than likely there is some other issue with the OS conflicting with the patch.
