      Any special caveats for 3rd party SSDs? I tried to install Mojave over the existing (patched) High Sierra, then tried a clean install. Ran the patch, even forced re-index, still getting the 🚫.

      Still no luck, BTW. Install appears to me succeed, but progress spinner hangs upon forced cache rebuild. Reboots to 🚫 screen.

      Try using HFS. You may need to select "Show All Devices" in the View menu of Disk Utility when in the installer.

          Will I need a utility to re-enable TRIM on the SSD if the HFS install succeeds? Thx in advance.

          Nope, just run "sudo trimforce enable" in Terminal.
