only will it boot high Sierra
You need to create a bootable El Capitan USB installer, boot from that, erase your hard disk, and install.

I did, on 2 diff usbs. it takes 15-20 mn to load and then freezes at the very end, for the life of it, it wants nothing to do with it. HS loads no problem, and yes iv wiped hard drive several times, even restored disk to el cap.. still same issue lol
