To claim the entire income on the video the assumption is that the song was the reason the video had the income in the first place. Let’s get real: views are watching for the particular youtuber, not for a song the sang a few bars of in the middle of the video.
Yeah, but as it stands, if you want anything besides 100% going to rights holders you have to go to court and talk about it. Jack can take it to court or settle outside if they're willing. Music industry has done this for decades when they copied or sampled other songs.
