thank you so much for #Parker2 – the tweets have been fantastic, and if the codicology conferences I attended as undergrad had looked a little more like this in terms of gender balance, I'd have been a lot less hesitant choosing medieval studies, so thank you for addressing this

that said (and as with facsimiles and digitizations, I know pictures don't ever tell the whole story, but) I think we should be careful before claiming we've reached a point where we're including our colleagues of colour based on a photo like this one

I think @analuciaraujo_ point w/ the early march Stanford conference was that it was too white and too male. #DH has also being dealing w/ its whiteness issues--thus, #transformDH--& #medievaltwitter has been dealing w/ this for a while.
