If we threw out everything written by a sexist we would have practically no editions, pre-70’s scholarship etc. (and of course few medieval sources) So yeah, use it, but be aware of the gendered assumptions.

Did we not just see a main stream news item about this? There is a deep critical literature about this both in library and archive circles, not to mention certain areas of critical bibliography. Decolonize the archive is a standard topic of convo at SAA conferences.
