If we threw out everything written by a sexist we would have practically no editions, pre-70’s scholarship etc. (and of course few medieval sources) So yeah, use it, but be aware of the gendered assumptions.

We do realize that there is decades of critical discussion on this topic. So why exactly are we discounting the methodologies developed to address these issues? Situatedness, autoethnography, has been a methods discussion for decades.
