Is there a student-friendly article/blog about this? I'm out of my depth in medieval stuff, but we're talking a lot about American racism and classical antiquity and medieval stuff seems to relevant but I hesitate to assign my students to read "all my fave medieval ppl's twitter"

Actually post-Civil war, the south saw themselves as A-S and the North as the conquering Normans. There is research that discusses this.
