So the point isn’t whether I am surprised or not. The point is that these people had power over my well-being, my reputation, and whether I won or was even nominated for awards. One wasn’t just a prof but a departmental leader.

Several of us when we visited their in nstitution that the Brxxtbart medieval writer wrote a letter of rec. for a Black woman undergrad. And tried to sabotage her chances. He had them take that letter out of circulation. If he wasn’t in the field & knew what was up, they would
