Some orgs/institutions aren't putting out statements right now. That's OK better to be honest. Medieval studies has a low bar these days in many respects. We all screw up me included. This org statement here tho is all kinds of wrong. #medievealtwitter

This centering of whiteness & wyte privilege is wrong. There's no acknowledgement of violence against Black ppl, systemic racism or police brutality. In these moments, we need to reflect on the gravity &importance of understanding & being explicit abt historic, perpetuated 2/4
