Let us discuss this idea of privilege & paranoia. Faculty, BIWOC especially, are regularly attacked F2F and online all the time. Only now that everyone has to move to remote ppl are regularly reporting. But privilege & paranoia is about

I cannot even have the location of my F2F classes made public b/c of potential attacks, so I find all this handwringing about digital vs. F2F over thinking about ppl’s safety especially BIWOC who tend to be targets a huge issue. For me what is up w/ the fragility/defensiveness?

For literally a set of tweets that point out the online conference system is amplifying racialized and gendered violence. That is a fact. But it is not like that violence wasn’t already happening. So why comment?
