Busy being blocked by all and sundry in *that* facebook group, so I'll just say the following: it is rich to be told off for improper decorum by someone whose first interaction with me, ever, was calling me a tw*t on twitter.

and no, y'all, thinking i said something inaccurate about uk race relations is *not* an excuse, nor is some perceived attack on a person in your life

an attack that didn’t happen, and the figment of which appears to be based on things that were tweeted by people (and not you) *in reaction to* his calling you a twat. he’s got a jumbled memory. or is actively jumbling it in order to justify his behaviour. I’m not sure which.

It's ex post facto justification. People were upset w/ her because they saw a tension between her writing a harassment policy and her partner's behavior on twitter. Trying to change the timeline is... an interesting tactic, to be sure

I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this nonsense.

I will admit it's not been great for my mental health. I'd rather be a depressive trying to stand up for my colleagues than a happy coward, though.

We have receipts from years ago. Do they think we don't know what happened. Nor that their comments are still there in various facebook groups: http://www.inthemedievalmiddle.com/2017/08/medievalfail.html …

Not that they want to address the entire issue of "golden Cambridge boys" and somehow it's fine for them to harass a WOC academic globally? Including sending poison pen letters to people. And this is something that shows how they understand what harassment is?

This was right around the time of the Stanford rape case. It was textbook language used by Brock Turner supporters b/c he was "golden boy" & we would ruin his life. So #RapeCulture much. Now that we know who Jane Doe was, you must ask where does intersectionality fit into this.

They only "apologized" b/c they were called out publicly by then ISXX. And then it was an "apologia" an entire "If you felt like x then I am sorry you felt like x" as opposed to sorry that I went and tried to smear you, lock out my posts about SMFS etc. I did not accept that BS.
