There are so many things that this election is about, but the racism that’s deeply embedded in the fabric of this society and has always been must be central to any postmortem analysis.

I’m already seeing things like “good people on both sides” when what I need to be seeing is widespread acknowledgement that, as in the US, people will happily race to the polls to vote for racists.
