I've been thinking about ways to make this a productive & generative conversation w/folks including @profchander, @JonathanHsy, @zugenia, @BadRomanticist, @NikkiHessell, @PaulaKrebs and have HIGH hopes for what's possible +
I don't want to tag folks and clutter their notifications, but I hope this conversation will be of particular use to those of you doing the hard & thankless work of confronting organizations and conferences clinging to exclusionary practices +
The inequities of the academy mean that a lot of people who are doing this work won't be able to make it to MLA, may not feel safe sharing their ideas and strategies online, or just might be morally opposed to participating in this conversation at this particular conference +
I am thinking with folks a/b how to address this so that the conversation isn't just for the few of us who can be in the room +
