As that particular piece was a total hit piece on me that went on to promulgate far right conspiracy theories about me, @AHAhistorians should be ashamed to platform "fake news" BS that actively harmed & sent further white supremacist violence towards a WOC academic.

And let's be explicitly clear
@AHAhistorians he literally did a#MeToo
move and said, no one has sent violent threats in relation to me. Considering my particular intersectional position as an Asian woman, that was horrific considering how much of those threats tend to be @ rape.1 reply 2 retweets 31 likes -

this is it. hand wringing about how people in the room are “saddened” about the “divisions” in the field while they are literally at a panel organised by *that* man? and on top of that blame the people you didn’t invite for not being invited?

Just a side note. I attended so I could question the panel. I think many others did too. I didn't expect it to be anti-racist & I was right. I don't think an intentionally all white panel should get to disseminate their narrative without in-person pushback.

The handringing was mainly from the panel. Also having never interacted on or offline with Franke, he has blocked me. I assume this is because I attended the panel & asked a question.

So clearly there's some bad faith shenanigans going on then masquerading as antiracism.

Only Krug discussed racism and hers was the only paper about trying to prevent facists from radicizing students at PWIs. Utz & Good focused on countering "extremism" from scholars of color. Morreale talked about being an independent scholar.

I'm sorry . . . countering extremism from scholars of color? And people have the audacity to say that some of these people were being genuine. Having said that, Krug sounded like she had some good points.pic.twitter.com/HHWlI9g30y

Krug (who is Jewish) was great. She offered practical interventionist pedagogy. I am curious how she got on the panel.
