this is it. hand wringing about how people in the room are “saddened” about the “divisions” in the field while they are literally at a panel organised by *that* man? and on top of that blame the people you didn’t invite for not being invited?

For clarification: are you blaming the people who *attended* the session for being disingenuous??

if they were as you describe “saddened” about the “divisions” in the field while being at *that* panel with *that* lineup: yes. either disingenuous or incredible ill-informed & ignorant.

Thank you for clarifying. I believe that most people in attendance were interested in the topic and want the field to improve.

I’m sorry, but they were at the wrong panel for that, and if they had paid attention they would have known that and chosen to be somewhere else.

I disagree. This session--by which I mean the topic, not the personnel--was the most explicitly anti-racist at the conference. The composition of the panel should have been different, but doesn't it make sense to attend the session in order to have the dialogue?

No, you don't support people who are openly hostile and racist even though they claim to be antiracist.

Is attending a session on anti-racism tantamount to supporting all of the speakers? Sincere question.

where is this conversation going? can we all be looking forward to have Dan, Paul, Thomas er al discuss screen shots on their facebook page soon? because that’s where this kind of line of questioning usually ends.

I'm sorry. I don't even know who "Paul" and "Thomas" are. I met Dan for the first time after the session, when I told him that I wished the panel had been composed differently. I'm sorry if I aroused your suspicions.

No sadness about the death, rape threats I & @ISASaxonists have received or the far right conspiracy theories that he spews about me and has for several years. You really should read from a historical expert on the KKK:http://www.kellyjbaker.com/nice-decent-folks/ …
