They are not. I have written long explanations to writers about what I want them to take out of the reviewers. Often I have been specific about what reviewers I have asked to look at a thing b/c I do want writers to know what kind of critique they might get from certain areas.

I usually try to explain, x and y, are not helpful here, but I do want you to address these set of critiques b/c it will improve the article and make you bullet proof from critique in this area.
