Education doesn’t solve racism either

And somehow your expertise b/c you have the HBCU shield vs. the lived experiences of BIPOC ppl is really demonstrating your antiracism? This is basic allyship 101: Do not make BIPOC ppl your shield. Listen. Stop centering whiteness. I could go on.
-
I could throw back at you the lived experiences of a trans person. You know nothing about it. The one card you got is calling people racist. You rely on the fact that folks will buy it regardless of its truth value. I'm all in. Lets go.

What would you know about it Dorothy? Really? What would you know about it?

What I see is a lot of white ppl not listening to BIPOC scholars in the field who have left ISXX. Who are using an HBCU as a shield. Who have not said a thing in 2.5 years or more of ISXX dumpster fires. So why are you wasting our time?

You’re right... I’m not claiming anything about my HBCU giving me any right to speak. That’s true. I also think centering vulnerable people is important. But why is everyone attacking a trans woman who is trying to take on the work?
-
Nobody attacked her. A critique was made that she had suggested a racist course of action, and she has responded to that critique by accusing Dorothy Kim of building her entire career with scurrilous accusations of racism. I hope you can see the problems with this.
