I am a little confused by this question. What exactly do you mean by “pay to come to a conf., if they are up to it”? As a medieval MS and early printed book scholar, not to mention one who does DH+archives, are you literally imagining there is no critical race discussion

In book history or critical bibliography? Do you read the critical archivists? There is an entire & massive bibliography in this area. Do we literally imagine book history is neutral in relation to race in any way?
