A really important short thread. We tell each other we must be compassionate to our students' complicated lives. We must also be so for our colleagues'. Dorothy. I'm very sorry that my call for compassion angered you. I tweeted that I feared my words would be misread, and it seems that they have been, but I realize I can do nothing in this forum to change your mind about my racism.

I think the issue is that critiquing a "call-Out" rather than wondering what are the conditions for these things, the power dynamics, and why, and also what are the coalitions who are organizing to say enough, what does that mean than saying the act of calling out is a problem?
