Hey #raceb4race I heard your conference was wonderfully stimulating and wish I could have attended! Is there any room for scholars who work on early modern Jews and antisemitism in your conversation? Asking for a friend (but I am also interested to know).

From what I understand, the Q was whether this new conversation on pre-modern race could (or should) include Jewish voices, but I think the questioner may have conflated the symposium's mission with the larger scholarly conversation (which I believe does have Jewish voices).

Again, & I would encourage your friend to take this to heart, the RB4R symposium was/is not "THE conversation" on premodern critical race analysis. The convo is larger than the symposium & should be engaged that way.

Also, this is the second meeting, there are 8 more planned. 4 more in Arizona which under Cohen and Thompson's direction. There is one coming to Brandeis. So is this also about not understanding that this is an unfolding convo?

8 more planned!!! Even I did not know this. And great news about Brandeis.
