Hey #raceb4race I heard your conference was wonderfully stimulating and wish I could have attended! Is there any room for scholars who work on early modern Jews and antisemitism in your conversation? Asking for a friend (but I am also interested to know).

Geraldine spoke to the centrality of Jews in premodern race-making in her opening keynote, so not sure what you mean? https://www.amazon.com/England-Jews-Religion-Violence-Elements/dp/1108740456/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=geraldine+heng&qid=1568083942&s=gateway&sr=8-2 …

I am confused. Did your friend miss the entire talk about Merchant of Venice? But also, have the early modern scholars decided or not that the Jews are racialized or not? It is #RaceB4Race so for premodern, we have already discussed this as racialized.
