She won’t have to deal as much with pandering to the majority white gaze. I find it very interesting that she’s targeted the regency genre for diversity.

It’s literally the whitest of the romance genres outside of medieval. Even though we know just about everything in Jane Austen land is tied to wealth from the empire and slavery.
