Regé Jean-Page. This is definitely an, Amen and thank you to the parents. "Whyte" romance readers are "concerned" since the film won't be "historically accurate." As if the book is.

The actor portrays a Duke no less. What's next? A black woman plays Queen Charlotte?

She won’t have to deal as much with pandering to the majority white gaze. I find it very interesting that she’s targeted the regency genre for diversity.

Honestly, given the hold the regency has over "Romance", it is a very smart move & destabilizes both the gaze and presumptions about history.
