there can be little pockets in US higher ed locations. This is not the case in the UK. But, like what happened in Yale, it is still all sorts of BS what the institutions will do.

Yup. But at least there are BIPOC at N. American universities. It's impossible to even survive in little pockets if it's basically the the white wall.

Yes. But it is also a history of black civil right activism that is directly about protest and demands for spaces in these institutions that are about politicized critique of the institution. I do not think there is such spaces in Europe.

Yes. But those are more recent. The US ones have been ongoing for over 50 years. Also the UK have those terrible clubs. Basically high class frat culture. Europe has them to but often organized slightly differently.

Yup. But I do not think UK unis are that far ahead of Europe.
