So it's lovely that it was a crucial intellectual/ideological moment, but this is not going to really happen anytime again now or in the future if the @IMC_Leeds conference & its organizer refuse to address security and inclusivity seriously.
So as far as I know, the process has not changed in the organizational structure.

I would separate the issue of who is on the programme committee & how they are selected from your concerns about safety - unless there is a very specific person on the committee that your safety issue deals with. They are both valid - but may not at all be connected.

If the org. in the end is up to the final decision of the director, the org. organization is also a question (rather like the questions that arise at
#kzoo). I would also note that I didn't bring up the idea of the org and new voices, you did. - Show replies

I will point out, I have waited a year to air these things more publicly. I think that is plenty of time for whatever organizing forces to address things. You have started the next conference. Even
@KzooICMS addressed them more immediately after critique. -
People on the committee who are feminists have already tried inside the org. That seemed to not have worked. So it appears that change will not happen without public pressure. Since the issues at
#IMC2018 were not addressed until after an SAA public petition.
