Students must feel safe in schools because fear and duress prevent full presence, engaged thoughtfulness, and the ability to question and learn. If a student worries about how their identity is accepted, the perceived surveillance limits what the student brings to the table.
I haven't seen this tweet, and I have just scrolled down through her TL right now. So I do not know what context this is in. As for the earlier connection, a number of researchers have been pointing to this connection. And really, they are TERFs.

A number of accounts that are liking their TERF comments back to me have been MRA accounts, far right accounts, accounts that post from far right journalism (including Quillette). If nothing else, that should put up some red flags about why those accounts are so interested.
