It is super fascinating when you continue to use terms like "silence" but somehow have decided that an entire gendered group does not have the right to exist or speak. And apparently we're still stuck in 2nd-wave feminism b/c somehow intersectional feminism is not a thing.

I, for one, think that Dr. Kim is a prominent academic with experitise in post-colonial DH with a specialization in gender and race within medievalism. But check the CV (https://www.brandeis.edu/facultyguide/person.html?emplid=af7a548e53b99c6485e7c8b6c5064be72ca99867 …) to be sure.

Please. So somehow upholding white supremacy and the white colonialist violence of cisgendered binary gender is somehow "feminist." Making the category of gender essential to genitalia is somehow what, a throwback from 40 years ago. Waiting for your current research.

I'm new to all this, not an academic, and very confused. How does "white supremacy" come into this subject? There's obviously no denying "white colonialist violence" in general, but are you saying white people *invented* "binary gender"?

It doesn't come into thie subject. It's one more of a long list of insults thrown at people for happen to disagree with transgender ideology, i.e that gender is innate, represents the "true self", is "assigned at birth" and that "true gender" can mismatch the assigned one. 1/

Radfem feminism views gender as arbitrary, oppressive and socially constructed whereas sex is a material reality. Theoretically you could be feminist AND in support of white supremacy, in reality this rarely happens as most feminists are left-wing.

Thanks; the first sentence I understand, the second - not so much. Are right-wing women mainly white supremacists? Are right-wing women mainly doormats? I will not discuss my voting habits here, but I have difficulty in understanding/believing either of those conclusions.
