Again, so you are calling me a troll and I am silencing people because I am asking for actual engagement with issues related to race, gender, sexuality, disability. Media studies and CRC scholars have already discussed this.https://www.bgdblog.org/2014/02/toxicity-true-story-mainstream-feminisms-violent-gatekeepers/ …

If you do not understand the difference between critique with critical research and white male trolling, which let's face it since a certain white man pretty much has followed me through multiple facebook platforms and have trolled me every time I post and has been kicked off

for crossing Code of Conducts in those groups, explain again how that is a debate other than white fragility and white feelings and white resentment. I am here bringing youscholars in video games studies and alt-right research and apparently I am shutting down debate?

So tell me again, what research you are bringing to "debate" this b/c so far I see nothing but white feelings and white fragility. Affect is not a logical argument.

I don’t think I would call a request for a discussion of sexism and racism an instance of someone deciding to “debase”

And I find it hard to believe that AOC or Nelson Mandela meant those quotes to suggest that a WOC shouldn’t request a discussion on gender and race in a historically white-male dominated industry with well documented racism and sexism problems.

Agreed. I also don’t see how dropping politicians’ quotations out of context does anything to engage the important discussion Dorothy’s trying to have. All you’ve done, Richard, is attempt to shut her down like she has YET to do to you despite the implication of your quotes.

By using quotes by POC against a WOC who’s calling out the lack of critical engagement w racism/sexism/homophobia/etc, you are using those politicians’ bodies, not their words, to control the “conversation” to protect whiteness. Hence, the “shield.” Please feel & read more.

And behold, an entire peer-reviewed article that explains exactly what is going on in this very long thread. Read. Research. Reflect. http://edchange.org/publications/White-Activists-Causing-Burnout-Racial-Justice-Activists-Gorski-Erakat.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0cqpV05zYEDNwAfidOa4erbrKBTGkBqdhA_fuq_3zIQCDAgk7bGWq1-dE …
