I am editing a book on the proliferation and weaponisation of 'free speech' in culture wars and there is a call for contributors here:http://www.manchesteruniversitypress.co.uk/articles/call-for-chapters-the-free-speech-wars/ …

I am really not sure where the volume is going but I am also a little worried about the way ti seems to elide free speech and academic freedom. And obviously this is dependent on the legal frameouts of countries: https://www.thenation.com/article/why-berkeleys-battle-against-white-supremacy-is-not-about-free-speech/ …; https://www.acme-journal.org/index.php/acme/article/view/1715 …;

The international context: yes of course -- we would really like contributions that push us to think internationally, although it might be that more come from a UK context. Not sure what you mean by eliding free speech and academic freedom?
