So, really, let's ignore and erase the BIPOC who have made the contextual & critical discussions and scholarly interventions in the Global Middle Ages, so that a group of white scholars can say, we don't need to discuss them, so we can "invent" it ourselves.

Erase who and what? Could it help to make a case for a shared cause? No one here claims ownership or to have invented it—there have been several similar projects around the world.
