All those trips to the library in grammar school, those research papers in high school & yet...you won't type a phrase into Google to find something out. I just can't relate. And I refuse to enable adults who do this mess.

Mind you, I won't let my kids do it either. They learn to crack open the dictionary, how to use Google wisely & what sources are valid. The same things I was taught as a kid. Because that's just good literacy skills. For media & for life.

Now in a conversation with kid #1 about media literacy & critical thinking. He's giving me the equivalent of "Mom you know you were weird right? You made us think & look stuff up all the time."
