it deals not at all with the racism experienced at the conference by colleagues of color. it responds to critiques of secrecy by saying "I know these people so trust me." it attacks the working group BABEL as being little more than jargon.

and one more thing. the Utz piece is gatekeeping at its finest. keep the young people with their different ideas out. we're doing just fine because the word "race" appeared 9 times across 552 sessions (~ 1.6%)

I believe Rob Waksman has checked those numbers they only work if you count the King of Tara roundtable 2x and include the name of a presenter whose last name includes “race”
